Institute for Inclusive Christianity

Course Design:

Those who need supplemental education to qualify for ministry or for personal growth may seek education credits through the Institute for Inclusive Christianity and receive a Certificate in Diaconate Studies or Presbyterate Studies

The courses are self-designed and self-directed.  Any non-fiction textbook may be used for the studies in the area of Theology. Bible Studies, Liturgy and Worship, Outreach Ministries, and Human Services.  The individual texts should be chosen in agreement with the Bishop, but individual interests and needs are taken into consideration.

Credits are granted at the rate of approximately one credit per 100 pages of text, and the institute will design a set of essay questions to be completed following the reading of the text.  Completion of 20 credit hours or the equivalent in previous training or experience will be granted the Diaconate Studies Certificate.  Completion of 40 credit hours or equivalent in previous training or experience will be granted the Presbyterate Studies Certificate.

The cost for processing your exam and registering the credits is $10 USD per credit hour.
